Song Cook's Korean Chili Reviews
Absolutely obsessed with the spicy candy chicken! It’s sweet, spicy and totally addictive!! You can’t stop eating it. The BBQ chicken was amazing too. Plus the interior is so Asian n cozy, it felt like a Korean street joint. Can’t wait to go back!
This place is amazing! We started with the corn and shared the BBQ chicken and soy garlic chicken, paired with a kettle of green tea. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. They also brought out a complimentary side dish with coleslaw, radish, and kimchi, which perfectly complemented the meal. The highlight, though, was the warm and welcoming hospitality of the owners who served us. Can’t wait to return and try the kimchi fries!
I’ve been to Song Cook’s a few times now and have never left disappointed. The cozy, private booth-style seating — separated by curtains — gives it a unique and intimate vibe, perfect for small groups or casual nights out. You ring a bell to order, which is a playful touch, but don’t be surprised if things move a little slowly when it’s busy. Their Korean fried chicken is the real highlight. The snow cheese flavor is worth a try, but the spicy candy is the clear winner — a spicy, tangy combo that’s seriously addictive. I’ve gone back just for that! The sides of kimchi and pickled radish are fresh, crunchy, and perfectly balance out the bold flavors. The noodles were just alright — not bad, but not memorable either. I’d stick to the fried chicken when ordering next time. One thing to note: prices can be a bit on the higher side for the portion sizes, especially when ordering multiple dishes. Still, for the unique setting and that crave-worthy spicy chicken, Song Cook’s is definitely worth the visit.
Great experience! From the customer service to the portion sizes to the delicious food! Overall enjoyed this place, love that you have so much privacy while eating with curtains for your booth. Also the manager was super nice and enjoyed chatting with him!
I make sure I visit this place every time I'm in town visiting (usually 1-2x year). They definitely have one of the best tasting meals. Reminds me of home cooking. Chicken is always crispy, juicy and tender. I almost always get the jajang myun because they make the authentic noodles for that dish and isn't store bought. They're also very generous with their portions and side dishes. Great food and service as always!
I will be dreaming of this food for days - WOW! We got the spicy candy fried chicken which came out piping hot , so crispy and juicy! I also got the kimchi fries which were tangy and fresh! The jajangmyun is made with chicken here which we appreciate and added a nice touch. The owner was incredibly kind, I’ve been seeing a lot of mixed reviews but am shocked that there are any negatives. He was so kind to my family and I - 12/10 service. I will be back!
I ordered Half and half candy spicy chicken and Honey garlic chicken with side of Corn, love it!! It was an amazing meeting with KO young. I think I have a crush on him.
Absolutely incredible experience at Song Cook! The food was absolutely amazing, so full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried was a hit, from the appetizers to the main courses. A huge shoutout to our server, Ko Yeong, who was so friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The quality and quantity were 10/10 and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in Korea. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for top-notch Korean cuisine in the GTA and outstanding service. Can’t wait to come back here and once again kamsahamnida Yeong!
